It is all too often that a family have lived with a mediocre backyard for years and then finally realize it is time for a change. The opportunity for creating a backyard retreat for themselves and for entertainment becomes a reality. For this particular project we were engaged to design and manage the project with a specific goal -to create a very natural style garden. A checklist was provided that included a dining area, outdoor kitchen, fire-bowl gathering patio, lounging location to catch last sun rays, vegetable planters, and a large lawn for volleyball games. The design challenge was to incorporate all these needs into a flowing manner. With use of tumbled pavers, natural boulders, dry stacked walls, cedar structures and full plantings we truly provided our clients with an urban oasis.
